Igor Gorbenko - Chairman of Board of directors of Joint-Stock Company "Conti Group"
Born: August 18, 1962 in Leningrad. Graduated Leningrad State Technical University. Since 1993 has been a director of the Municipal Company, center of engineering research "Igma". He established the first casino "Conti" in the city. The same year, 1993, according to the resolution of the mayor, a municipal company "Neva-Chance" was established for better regulation of gambling business. I.V. Gorbenko became the deputy director and later, the director of "Neva-Chance". On the initiative and with organizational support from JSC "Neva-Chance", a public organization "Association of activists of gambling business in Saint Petersburg" was established. Its aim was to defend collective interests of all major participants of gambling business in Saint Petersburg. On the order of the administration of the city, JSC "Neva-Chance" was working on the development of all laws concerning gambling business in the Russian Federation and in Saint Petersburg, including other regulations in the sphere of gambling.
In 1994, JSC "Conti Group" was established. In 1999, Gorbenko became its General Director. The Group included five casinos: "Conti", "Olympia", "Astoria", "NEVA-Da!" and "Lazurnaya". JSC "Conti Group" has a rich experience in reconstructing whole buildings and creating cultural-recreation centers on the basis. The building of the former movie theatre "Giant" was literary saved from destruction. Considerable means were invested into the project, the best designers were working on it, and at the present time, casino "Conti", which is located in the building is the largest and the most attractive one in the city, while the concert hall "Giant Hall" is the most famous of all recreational facilities, built recently. In 1998, a building on Liteiny prospect, № 14 was rented, it was famous as "The palace on Liteiny". After considerable finances have been invested into the new project, the building was revived and became one of the beauties of our city. Casino "Olympia", which is located in the fancy historical interiors, is the most democratic and affordable casinos in the center of Saint Petersburg.
In 1994, JSC "Neva-Chance" also became a shareholder of another JSC "Firma Profit", Gorbenko was an active participant. JSC "Firma Profit" is managing a network of gambling machines in the system JackPot all around the city. It includes a network of gambling halls, infrastructure for connection with the central station for collecting and treatment of information, calculation complex, which provides a corporate gambling process of a multiple number of automats and collection of information concerning their condition. Today, JackPot system incorporates most of the metro stations, as well as many on-ground gambling halls, connecting over 1 400 gambling machines into the general network. "Jack Pot" system of Saint Petersburg is the largest network in Europe. In 1999, technical capabilities enabled the JSC "Firma Profit" to interconnect not only the halls in Saint Petersburg, but also the machines in Moscow into a single system. Considering such rates of development, "Jack Pot" system does not have any analogies in the world.
According to the decision of general meeting of shareholders on September 1st, 2003 Igor Vladidirovich Gorbenko was elected to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors of joint stock company "CONTI GROUP".
